- Pretend you are the buyer and go through your home with “new eyes”
- Tend to the lawn, hedges and flower beds, sweep paving areas
- Animal litter must be removed
- If possible keep pets out of the way
- The pool must be clean and blue
- Put colorful cushions and Umbrellas outside
- Ensure the doorbell is working
- Have an attractive entrance flowers, awning etc
- Tidy the garage and make sure it looks spacious
- Tidy all cupboards and cabinets
- Lock valuables away
- Make sure the windows are clean
- Fresh towels and soap in the bathroom
- The sink, kitchen and stove must be spotless
- Burn aromatherapy oils throughout the house (don’t overdo this though) and percolated coffee in the kitchen
- Open the curtains let the sun in switch attractive lamps on
- Have soft music playing in the background
- Ensure the family is not doing anything out of the ordinary
